Into Wolf Territory — Sweden
An Exclusive  Expedition  ·  5 Nights / 6 Days  · 2027  August mixed group & September ladies only

A lonesome wolf

Two nights in the wilderness. Two nights in five-star luxury. One night with the bears. Sweden as you have never experienced it.

Deep in the boreal forests of central Sweden, wolves move silently through ancient pines. This extraordinary expedition takes a small, exclusive group of women into genuine wolf territory — spending two nights under canvas in the heart of the wilderness, guided by expert naturalists who know exactly where and when Europe's most elusive predators are most likely to appear.

This is not a tour of hides and fixed viewpoints. It is an immersive wilderness adventure — canoe expeditions, macro photography, guided forest walks at dawn, moose safaris at dusk — where every day unfolds differently and every encounter is earned, not manufactured.

From Wolf Territory to Five-Star Luxury

Two Nights in the Wild

Your expedition begins in wolf territory. After being picked up  from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, you settle into camp as the Swedish forest closes in around you.  Over two days, guided naturalists lead you through the landscape on foot and by canoe, tracking sign, reading the forest, and positioning you as close to wild wolves as patience and knowledge allow. Moose move through the tree line at dusk. Beavers work the waterways at first light. The wilderness is fully, authentically alive.

Two Nights at Udden Retreat

After the wilderness experience comes one of the finest small retreats in Scandinavia. Udden Retreat sits on its own peninsula on the shores of Storsjön Lake in the beautiful Bergslagen region — just seven individually designed rooms, a private beach, wood-fired sauna, and home-cooked Swedish cuisine prepared by your hosts. It is warm, intimate, and utterly restorative. Here you debrief the wolf days, share images, and prepare for the final chapter of the expedition. A guided forest walk, a packed lunch then a beaver safari, followed by dinner.

One Night with the Bears

The expedition ends at Järbo, where a purpose-built Brown Bear photography hide offers one of the finest wildlife encounters in northern Europe. As dusk settles over the Swedish forest, Brown Bears emerge at close range in exceptional light. You spend the night in the hide — an experience that guests consistently describe as the most remarkable of their wildlife photography lives.

Wildlife You May Encounter

Sweden's central forests are among Europe's richest wildlife landscapes. In addition to the wolves and bears that define this expedition, guests may encounter:

Grey Wolf  ·  Brown Bear  ·  Eurasian Moose  ·  Eurasian Beaver  ·  Red Deer  ·  Roe Deer  ·  Black Grouse  ·  Capercaillie  ·  White-tailed Eagle  ·  Osprey  ·  Kingfisher  ·  Forest and wetland species throughout

All wildlife encounters are wild, unbaited and unpredictable — guided by naturalists with deep local knowledge, not guaranteed by artificial feeding.

September 2027  —  Led by Tina Boswell

“I have led and joined many wildlife trips over the years, and I know exactly what it feels like to be the only woman in the group — or one of very few. This expedition exists because I wanted to create something different: a small group of women in a truly wild landscape, where nobody feels they have to keep up, speak up, or hold back. Just the forest, the wolves, and the freedom to experience it all entirely on your own terms.”

— Tina Boswell

September brings the first hints of autumn colour to the Swedish forest — a different quality of light and a quieter, more intimate atmosphere that many guests prefer.

This trip is ladies only — and that matters.

Wildlife expeditions are wonderful, but the reality is that most groups are male-dominated. For many women, that changes the experience in ways that are hard to articulate — the pace of conversation, the confidence to ask questions, the freedom to say you’re cold, or tired, or simply want to sit and watch. Tina has designed this expedition specifically to give women the space to be fully themselves in the field: curious, capable, and completely at home in the wild.
